The Point is passionate about showcasing the best in contemporary dance and exhilarating theatre, and this autumn the venue presents an array of bold and original works from a number of companies, hand-picked by the hubs creative team.

On Thursday 6th October Supported Artist Luke Brown Dance, in association with The Point, presents For You I Long the Longest. A Double Bill of dance theatre, the evening will be made up of Second Self and Princess in a moving, humorous and effecting showcase of stunning performance.

Currently taking the world by storm via America's Got Talent, comedian The Boy with Tape on his Face is at The Point with TAPE FACE on Saturday 8th October, kicking off the venue's season of comedy. With tickets nearly sold out, this is an opportunity to see the kooky comedian before he becomes a global superstar.

On Thursday 13th October Alexander Whitely Dance Company presents Pattern Recognition and Ceyda Tanc Dance presents AYIN. Choreographer and Artistic Director Ceyda Tanc is a new Associate Artist at the Eastleigh venue, working with The Point to create bold works that challenge normal conventions in Turkish folk dance.

This performance will precede Alexander Whitley Dance Company and is free to ticket holders of the headline show. Following AYIN, Pattern Recognition explores memory and technology in a contemporary age as two dancers perform a visually arresting duet while a system of moving lights tracks them.

This season The Point continues its programme of live screen with two Royal Shakespeare Company productions streaming live to the venue. On Monday 17th October the company presents Cymbeline and on Monday 31st October you can see Shakespeare's epic King Lear.

World-renowned aerial theatre company Pirates of the Carabina return to The Point on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October with FLOWN. With brilliant live music, a dazzling display of acrobatic movement, and a get-the-show-on-the-road narrative, this is not to be missed. Following the performance, attendees are invited to join Audience Club.

On Thursday 3rd November Phoenix Dance Theatre presents Triple Bill; an evening of sensational contemporary performance, made up of Until. With/Out. Enough, Melt and Bloom. Celebrating 35 years of creating stunning dance theatre works, the company returns to The Point as it turns 20. This performance forms part of the autumn Dance Along the South Coast ticket offer.

Now an Associate Artist at The Point, Gobbledegook Theatre - helmed by Artistic Director Lorna Rees - presents SLIDESHOW on Tuesday 15th November. Lorna will host an evening of sharing as she talks about her adventures traveling across America with her Dad.

Popular comedian Hal Cruttenden is at the venue on Wednesday 16th November with his hilarious look at the eccentricities of modern life in Straight Outta Cruttenden. As seen on Would I Lie To You? and Have I Got News For you, he's back on the stage to rant about social media, dieting and more.

Volcano Theatre Company presents the visceral and violent Macbeth - Director's Cut on Friday 18th November. Bloody, lyrical and extreme, this assault on the senses was originally directed by Nigel Charnock for the company in 1999; here it is redeveloped for a modern audience.

As the festive season approaches The Point has a brilliant programme of family theatre to entertain all. On Thursday 1st to Saturday 3rd December The Point Youth Theatre presents the magical seasonal treat The 12 Days of Christmas and on Monday 19th - Saturday 24th December they present OUTLAW The Story of Robin Hood.

The Point's Creation Space will play host to interactive arctic adventure Breaking the Ice, from Filskit Theatre, on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th December. Alongside a host of exceptional productions from dance and theatre companies, you can see romantic drama Me Before You, animated adventure story The BFG and all-new Ghostbusters - among more - this season, as part of The Point's programme of film.
