This October Half Term (Mon 28 October - Fri 1 November) the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon is offering audiences and visitors activities for all the family to find out more about making theatre. Workshops include creating a Shakespeare play in a day, stage fighting, how fake wounds are created in stage make up demonstrations, singing workshops and a chance to join members of the Richard II company on the Royal Shakespeare Theatre stage. Blown Away, an engaging show for ages 3 - 6 with live music and puppetry, is on every day, plus the very best of British food is available in the Rooftop Restaurant.

Blown Away
Presented by Birdsnest Theatre
The wind can whisk you up into the sky; the wind can take you on an adventure. What if, one windy night a little girl arrives in your bedroom and tells you she's the wind? Join us as a small boy finds himself swept up and whisked away on an unforgettable journey. Flying through the air with the world so small below them, they feel big, and when you're big you can do anything at all.

Blown Away is a beautiful and engaging show containing live music, shadow puppetry and movement for three to six year olds, produced by Birdsnest Theatre is association with Royal and Derngate, Northampton.

Play in a Day
Spend a day with an RSC practitioner to create a shortened version of one of Shakespeare's plays.

Blood, Guts and Gore
Former RSC Head of Wigs and Make-up, Brenda Leedham demonstrates how to create fake bruises, cuts and scars. Willing participants will be required!

Take a trip up the Tower to experience an alternative view across Stratford-upon-Avon and beyond. A lift will take you up to the viewing platform. The Tower is open daily from 10am until 4pm. Please note the Tower may be closed around Matinee performances in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
