To celebrate the arrival of Billy Elliot the Musical in Birmingham on Tues 7 March, the four young actors sharing the role of Billy Elliot, Adam Abbou (13 years old from Liverpool), Emile Gooding (11 years old from Reading) Haydn May (12 years old from Bath) and Lewis Smallman (13 years old from West Bromwich) paid an exclusive visit to Birmingham's Victoria Square for a high-kicking photo-call set against the backdrop of the iconic council steps and fountain.
Set in a northern mining town against the background of the 1984/85 miners', Billy Elliot the Musical follows one boy's journey from boxing to ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family and whole community and changes his life forever.
