BAREtruth Theatre premier their first show BAREtruth:Theatre Uncut at The Pleasance Theatre and Southwark Playhouse. With seven brand new short plays, written for Theatre Uncut's newest writing season during November 2013, a yearly event where leading playwrights are asked to write based on some form of political issue and injustice. The question put the the writers this year 'Do we all get more right wing in times of austerity?' The plays written for this years season:

Immigration is a huge concern that is constantly being tackled in the UK. Due to the news, gossip and the media, many races are undergoing forms of discrimination.
All of these plays show us examples of how we discriminate, who it's led by and teach us the real figures on who is really taking from the tax payer.
Over the past 3 years Theatre Uncut plays have been performed by over 3,000 people in 17 countries across 4 continents. Theatre Uncut was created to get people, thinking, talking and taking action.
Theatre Uncut was the winner of a Fringe First, Herald Angel and Spirit of the Fringe awards and shortlisted for the Amnesty International Freedom of Speech Award at the Edinburgh Fringe 2012. Winner also of a Fringe First Edinburgh Fringe 2013.
