Following a sell-out run at Waterloo East Theatre in August, deliciously funny and exceedingly British new musical The Bakewell Bake Off will transfer to the Landor Theatre on Tuesday 8 October 2013.

Take seven eager contestants, three feuding judges and one bewildered hostess; add flour, eggs and sugar and mix together in a small village. Add the pressure of a baking competition and you've got a recipe for a hilarious musical comedy! Come and join the folk of Bakewell for their annual bake off, where signature bakes combine with song and dance in a fantastic feast of fun.

The Bakewell Bake Off began as a project at Guildford School of Acting (GSA), where a group of MA Musical Theatre performance students decided to write and perform an original musical. Inspired by the BBC's phenomenally successfulThe Great British Bakeoff, they set out to create a piece that gently satirised modern Britain whilst celebrating all things 'cake'.

The cast includes recent GSA graduates Cerys Alley, Tom Beynon, Lucy Emmott, Will Ferris, Katherine Glover,Victoria Humphreys, Emily Jeffreys, Maura Matlak, Alexandra Spalding, Tim Stuart and Kayleigh Thadani.

The Bakewell Bake Off is directed by Julian Woolford. Julian is currently Head of Postgraduate Musical Theatre at GSA. He has previously been Artistic Director of Sevenoaks Playhouse and The Global Search for New Musicals. His recent other work includes The Importance of Being Earnest at the English Theatre of Hamburg, Liberace Live From Heaven at Leicester Square Theatre and New Zealand tour and the recent national tour of Oklahoma!.

The Bakewell Bake Off is written by the Baking Committee, directed by Julian Woolford and choreographed by Kayleigh Thadani and Nicole Tiffany Rushing. The musical director is Kevin Michael Cripps. It is produced by The Baking Committee.

That Face, the debut play from award-winning playwright Polly Stenham, will have its first London revival at the Landor Theatre from Tuesday 12 November to Sunday 1 December (press night Thursday 14 November).

That Face is a compelling portrayal of an affluent family in freefall. Mia is at boarding school. She has access to drugs. They are Martha's. Henry is preparing for art college. He has access to alcohol. From Martha. Martha controls their lives. Martha is their mother. This is a family at breaking point. Mia and Henry have long been dealing with their mother's addictions, but after a prank goes wrong at Mia's boarding school, their situation goes from comically bad to utterly ridiculous. When their estranged father arrives to sort things out, they must face the reality that their well-to-do family may have combusted beyond repair. That Face is a hard-hitting, intense and darkly comic exploration of children who become parents to their parents.

'Explosive and gobsmacking'
