THE MARLOWE Theatre, Canterbury will be celebrating the work of some world-famous artists in August, with a series of top tribute acts.
First up are The Illegal Eagles (Wednesday 1 August), the world's number one Eagles tribute band. This group of musicians have been touring for more than two decades and remain true Eagles fanatics. Their longevity and continued international acclaim are due in no small part to their mastery of the Eagles' distinctive sound.
Following them is the ever popular The Magic Of Motown (Thursday 2 August), in which the music of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and more, is featured.
Killer Queen (Sunday 12 August) recreate the phenomenon of Queen live performances. They're fronted by Patrick Myers as Freddie Mercury, who Time Out described as bearing a "spooky" resemblance to the man himself".
