Arthur Price Has Seat Named For Them in the Grand Theatre ImageCutlery and giftware company Arthur Price have had a seat named in their honour in the Grand Theatre's historic auditorium, in recognition of their support for the Wolverhampton landmark.

Simon Price, Arthur Price Chief Executive and Adrian Jackson, Grand Theatre Chief Executive, formed the partnership in 2016 when the Grand Theatre was undertaking a £1.2million refurbishment to the Front of House and bar areas. Arthur Price generously supported this venture by sponsoring the Dress Circle Bar, now called 'Arthur's Of The Grand'.

The Lichfield-based cutlery company supplied more than 1,000 pieces of cutlery, as well as specially-commissioned silver holloware pieces including champagne buckets, coasters and cocktail shakers, all engraved with 'Arthur's of the Grand'.

In recognition for this continued support, the Grand Theatre have chosen to dedicate seat A27 in the Dress Circle in their honour. A27 was chosen as Arthur Price himself, founder of the company in 1902, visited the Grand in 1927 to see 'Rio Rita'. The seat also has spectacular views of the stage and auditorium.

Simon Price, Chief Executive at Arthur Price said: "Arthur Price is very proud to be a sponsor at the Grand Theatre and we are delighted to have a seat sponsored in our honour in the beautiful auditorium. I have always been a huge fan of the Wolverhampton Grand having visited for the first time nearly 50 years ago and have seen many amazing shows. It's a wonderful place to be with families and friends, a place to escape reality and a place to add some magic to everyday life."

John Harrison, Grand Theatre Fundraising Manager said: "Recognising the support from Arthur Price with a sponsored seat is a fantastic way to celebrate our relationship with this historic British company. Their generosity in recent times has had a significant impact on the Grand Theatre and has helped to equip us with fantastic facilities."
