Antique Dances will present Between Three at the Kings Head Theatre in Islington for the final performance on August 14.
Antique Dances will be premiering a triple bill of their most current work. The company will be performing three diverse works from their repertoire that have been shown throughout the UK and Scotland over the last 18 months. Antique Dances work falls predominantly in the classical and contemporary spectrum and the three pieces represent a cross section of the company's style.
Between Three will comprise of Slowly We Collide which was recently premiered in Covent Garden. Graham Watts, dance critic for London Dance.com, called it ‘the most arresting and complete work of the evening'. Also being performed is Ternion, a piece first shown in Liverpool 2010. Receiving consistently favorable reviews by various critics over the last 12 months, Ternion has been described as a ‘physically impressive (Debbie Shine 2010)' piece to watch. The final performance will be Lonely Souls, which was first shown at The Place in January 2010. Described as music box ballerinas dancing to trip-rock beats the piece represents the beginnings of Antique Dances and will complete a night of beautifully crafted choreography and visually stunning dance.
