Anonymous Benefactor Gives £10,000 to Academy of Creative Training

The Academy of Creative Training, Brighton Premier Drama School, has just announced a FREE place on it's 2 year Diploma in Acting course 2015 - 16 thanks to a generous donation from a local well known public figure. The school was over whelmed to be contacted last month and be offered the award which they have set aside as a scholarship fund. The benefactor was so impressed with the work of the school and the opportunities it has given to its graduates that they gave the school a special grant to fund the fee's for 1 lucky recipient for a 2 year course usually worth £10,000. The 2 year Diploma course for anyone over the age of the 18yrs and classes are run in the evenings so that it fits around family and work commitments.

Janette Eddisford, Principle of the schools said, "We are extremely proud of the success of the school and our graduates who regularly go on to work in the West End and on national film and TV. However we were still astonished to be approached by this person and by their generosity. When we were offered the scholarship fund we really couldn't believe it. So many people miss out on fulfilling their life long dreams because of financial constraints and this will hopefully change that for one person. Without revealing too much we want them know we send them a massive Thank You "

The school has an existing bursary which helps those most in need but the additional place now available is an added bonus that they were not expecting. Recent graduates of the school have gone on to appear in Emmerdale, Game of Thrones, Parades End, Call The Midwife and Sherlock and appear regularly on stage at The National Theatre, The Old Vic and The Royal Court.

Auditions for the Scholarship are open to anyone over 18 yrs with no upper age limit
