Two more West End dates have been added by A Beautiful Noise, a show which celebrates the music of Neil Diamond, one of the world's greatest ever singer-songwriters, and marking the West End debut of Award-winning Fisher Stevens.
A Beautiful Noise will now play at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, on Monday 10 June and Monday 8 July in addition to the previously announced Monday February 11, 2019.
"What a beautiful noise / Comin' up from the street / Got a beautiful sound / It's got a beautiful beat".... these lyrics from his 1976 hit song, A Beautiful Noise, underscore more than any others the evergreen appeal of Neil Diamond, a performer, songwriter and entertainer whose name will echo down through the ages.
Though he has declared his touring days over, Neil Diamond's star will burn forever.
Featuring a live band, including a brass section and backing singers, A Beautiful Noise is now the best way for UK audiences to enjoy his wonderful songs in a live theatre setting. Sweet Caroline, Song Sung Blue, Cracklin' Rosie and Forever In Blue Jeans, are the songs that soundtracked lives, the teenage dream, and remain fixtures of personal and radio playlists everywhere.
Flying Entertainment, producers of the West End concert spectacular, Thriller Live, which will celebrate its 10th record-breaking hit year at the Lyric Theatre on January 22, 2019, present this lavish new production.
Over half a century since the first hit single from an artist that has sold over 100 million albums, A Beautiful Noise is a joyful celebration of Neil Diamond's music, delivered with an assured virtuosity by Fisher Stevens to the standard and scale that these timeless songs deserve.
Fisher and his sensational band journey through five decades of Diamond's biggest hits including Brooklyn Roads, Heartlight, September Morn, Hello Again, Longfellow Serenade, Love on the Rocks, Forever in Blue Jeans, He Ain't Heavy, Cherry Cherry, Song Sung Blue, I Am ... I Said, America, Holly Holy, Soolaimon, Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show, and of course Sweet Caroline, plus many more. With Stevens' extraordinary vocal range, relaxed sense of humour and stage presence, live band and backing singers this is the ultimate musical journey that all Diamond fans, old and new have been waiting for.
A lifelong lover of Neil Diamond, Fisher has toured the world as a performer and said, "I am supported by an experienced band and backing singers who are all as passionate about Neil Diamond as I am".
