Irresponsible Decorators- Theatre Company will bring 76 Million People and Me to Brighton Fringe 2013.

76 Million People and Me is the story of four Twentieth Century Dictators who find themselves stuck on a boat to hell. Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong, Josef Stalin and Pol Pot drift forever with only each other for company, their conversation lurching from national anthems, genocide and even fine dining. This dark comedy is a new play written by Joe Berwick, and directed by Stanley Walton, and asks the audience how much do we really know about evil, and what is the true cost of a human life?

The play is an original Irresponsible Decorators production made with the support of the University of Hull, Scarborough Campus. Irresponsible Decorators were founded in 2011 and since then have created and produced 7 original pieces, including a commission for the Scarborough Museums Trust. This will be the first tour of their work, with the piece being performed at the One Act Festival at the Lost Theatre: London, moving onto the Brighton Fringe and then concluding at the Edinburgh Fringe in August. They are also currently touring two other pieces, being selected for the Reading Fringe, and 'Circuit Performance Platform' Leicester, to name but a few.

Performances run at Caroline of Brunswick, today, 27th of May: 23:00 and 28th- 30th of May: 18:00. All Shows Free Entry.

Irresponsible Decorators are a young company founded at the University of Hull, Scarborough Campus. As a company they are drawn to create work that asks an audience to consider what they are watching, whether that is an interesting and challenging site specific work, or performance set in a more traditional theatre space. 76 Million People and Me, has 4 performers, Fran Bundey as Stalin, Anna Holgate as Hitler, Andy Sherlow as Mao, and David Perry as Pol Pot.

Brighton Fringe is the largest open-access multi-art form festival in England, and what makes it exceptional is that it is set in a city with a unique heritage that has set the pace, diversity, creativity and innovative thinking in the city and beyond.

Brighton Fringe will run from 4 May - 2 June 2013. For more information on Brighton Fringe go to www.brightonfringe.org. For more information about the show, visit www.irresponsibledecorators.co.uk or follow the company on Twitter @I_Decorators.
