TV favourite David Hasselhoff will arrive in Wolverhampton on Tuesday 17 November as part of the world premiere of a brand new musical - LAST NIGHT A DJ SAVED MY LIFE. The explosive new production opened at the Blackpool Opera House in October and audiences in Wolverhampton will be among the first to see it when the production plays at the Grand Theatre from 17 - 21 November. Hasselhoff, aka, "The Hoff," plays Ross, a hilarious hedonist. He's Ibiza's top 80s DJ who doesn't realise a new decade has dawned, disco is out and the club scene is in. He tries to keep up with the times with Mandy, his new younger girlfriend (Kim Tiddy, from The Bill andHollyoaks), but matters are complicated when his teenage daughter Penny (Stephanie Webber from BBC's The Voice) arrives to stay. She's no longer a demure school girl, but a wild child who quickly falls for Rik, the Holiday Rep played by Shane Richie Jnr.

It's the story of two generations colliding, as a badly behaved parent tries to control a wild child teenager! This hilarious hit fest is also a touching father and daughter drama set against a background of sun, sea, sex, drugs and hits that take us back to the 80s and 90s when we wore denim overalls, girls had hair scrunchies and guys played Nintendo Game Boy.

LAST NIGHT A DJ SAVED MY LIFE is directed by Jon Conway and choreographed by Chris Baldock. The cast also featuresEmily Penny, Natalie Amanda Gray, Stephanie Anderson, Barry Bloxham, Will Markus, Tam Ryan, Darius J James, Gary Newbold and Chris Blight. Music is by Olly Ashmore, lighting by Pete Kramer and video by Rick Skelton.

Speaking about the exciting new role The Hoff said: "See it. Believe it. Live it. This is my motto and I am living it now. I can't wait to bring something new and different to UK theatre audiences. I absolutely love live theatre and the interaction with the audience. To play a character that I can relate to while celebrating an era of fantastic music is going to be Hofftastic. This is going to be a great production and I can't wait to see the audience reaction. I guarantee you will be singing all night long!"

The musical features hit songs from the 80s and 90s including: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cyndi Lauper), Whoa-We're going To Ibiza (Venga Boys), Relight My Fire (Take That), I Think We're Alone Now (Tiffany), Theme from S Express, Theme to Baywatch, Never Gonna Give You Up (Rick Astley), The Power (Snap), Papa Don't Preach (Madonna), Things Can only Get Better (D ream), Spice Up Your Life, Wannabee (Spice Girls Medley), Believe (Cher), Ain't Nobody (Chaka Khan), Can't Touch This (M.C.Hammer), Pump Up The Jam / Rhythm Is A Dancer / No Limits / Killer 90's club medley, Let's Talk About Sex Baby(Salt n Pepa) and Unbreak My Heart (Toni Braxton).
