Leading writers including writer and founder of Fun Palaces Stella Duffy, writer and director of hit BBC Three show Ackee and Saltfish Cecile Emeke, playwright, writer and co-producer of The Handmaid's Tale Dorothy Fortenberry plus novelist and founder of the Women's Prize for Fiction Kate Mosse and BAFTA winning screenwriter Dan Berlinka who writes CBBC's first online award winning drama Dixi are donating to London Writers' Week to help victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.

Those interested in new writing and unable to attend London Writers' Week in person can now make a donation in order to ask a writer a question via email and receive advice on their work, on writing generally or on how to use writing to help.

Co-Director of London Writers' Week Jennifer Tuckett said: "We're grateful to these leading writers for donating their time to answer questions in order to help bring writers and those interested in new writing together to help the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. As a London week taking place in July and as our co-Director grew up in the area and his nephew was born in Grenfell Tower, it felt important to help. We hope people will make a donation in return for the opportunity to ask these writers for advice on their writing, their thoughts on writing or on how to use writing to help."

Donation tickets, and the opportunity to donate to ask a writer for advice, can be purchased at: http://londonwritersweek.com/event/london-writers-week-donation-ticket/
