Winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for BEST PLAY. The play concerns Catherine, the daughter of Robert, a recently deceased mathematical genius and professor at the Univ. of Chicago and her struggle with mathematical genius and mental illness and her fear of following in his footsteps. Proof combines elements of mystery and surprise with old-fashioned storytelling to provide a compelling evening of theatre.
