Whitney Davis stars in Nilaja Sun's award-winning one-woman comedy about a teacher who tries to build self-esteem and respect for others among a group of unruly Bronx 10th-graders. Davis will employ a wide range of expressions and vocalizations to portray the different backgrounds and personalities of more than a dozen teachers and students.
When performed off-Broadway by the playwright in 2006-07, No Child… won an Obie Award, Lucille Lortel Award and two Outer Critics Circle Awards.
Davis' recent Tulsa performances include roles in Joanne's Struggling Soul, A Song for Coretta and Expressions of Black Souls. Rodney Clark directs.
