Sapulpa Community Theatre presents 'The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge' - The trial of the century! A year after his miraculous transformation, Ebenezer Scrooge is back to his old ways and is suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander pain and suffering, attempted murder and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. The ghosts employ England's most clever, savvy and charismatic barrister. The show runs on December 11-13, and again from December 18-20.
Scrooge, that old penny pincher, represents himself. One by one, the ghosts take the witness stand to give their account of the night in question. But the Spirit of Christmas Future breaks down under heavy questioning and confesses that Jacob Marley forced the spirits to break one of the rules of redemption: Don't try to scare someone into redemption. Fun fare for the Holidays!
Production runs 12/11-13, 12/18-20, 8:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, 2:00 pm on Sundays. The theatre is located at 124 S Water St, in Sapulpa, OK.
Tickets are $10.00 adults, $5.00 students. Call for reservations 918-227--2169 or via http://www.sapulpacommunitytheatre.com
