Heller Theatre presents "And the Winner Is" by Mitch Albom September 28, and October 1-2 at 7:30pm; October 3 at 2:00pm at Henthorne Performing Arts Center.

"And the Winner Is..." tells the comic story of Tyler Johnes, a self-obsessed movie star, who is finally nominated for an Oscar, only to die the night before the awards. Outraged at his bad luck and determined to know if he wins, he bargains with a heavenly gatekeeper to return to earth for the big night. Along the way, he drags his agent, his acting rival, his bombshell girlfriend and his ex-wife into the journey, in a surprising tale of Hollywood, the afterlife, and how we are finally judged.

Written by Mitch Albom, the writer of "Tuesdays with Morrie" and "The Five People You Meet in Heaven," this is a quirky, heartfelt and slightly wicked tale of life, death and sacrifice. Directed by Frank Gallagher, the cast features John Gibson Miller, George Nelson, Ron Friedberg, Kelley Friedberg, Jeremy Geiger, and Jessica Branston. The stage manager is Rena Borg.

Performances are September 24-25, 28, and October 1-2 at 7:30 pm and October 3 at 2 pm. Ticket prices are $10 adults and $7 seniors and students. For reservations and more information call 746-5065.

*** Two new features at Heller this season: all evening shows have a 7:30 start time, and "Pay-What-You-Can-Tuesdays" will leave the ticket price up to you for performances on Tuesday evenings.

Henthorne Performing Arts Center is part of the Park and Recreation Department of the City of Tulsa. Home to Heller and Clark Theatres, the Henthorne PAC is located at 4825 S. Quaker, just east of 48th and Peoria
