Tulsa, OK. Spectacular music...sinfully sensational dancing...faith that's stronger than their hair gel.... The ALTAR BOYZ get ready to rock the masses of all denominations by spreading the good news and soothing the troubled souls of Tulsa through the glory of sweet pop music. Produced by Grace Ann Productions, ALTAR BOYZ makes its Tulsa debut March 6-15, 2009 at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

Tickets for ALTAR BOYZ, priced $25 to $35 with special 2-top cabaret table seating at $90 are on sale now, at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Box Office, by phone call (918) 596-7111 or purchase on-line at www.myticketoffice.com.

In addition, Grace Ann Productions is scheduling a limited number of preview performances. Check www.grace-ann.org for additional dates or contact Grace Ann Productions to schedule a preview performance at your private or public event.

ALTAR BOYZ is the hilarious account of a struggling Christian boy band from Greenville, Ohio. The Boyz - intent on saving souls and raising spirits - are on the last night of their "Raise the Praise" U.S. tour and determined to make the big time. There's Matthew, the hunky leader, who holds the group together; Mark, the sweet and sensitive one, who choreographs all the band's signature moves; Luke, the bad boy with an interest in communion wine and driver of the Altar Boyz van; Juan, the Latin lover who's popular with the ladies; and Abraham, a nice Jewish boy who's not sure how he ended up in the group.

With amazing dance moves and a fully automated Sony Soul Sensor DX-12 to gauge the spiritual well-being of the crowd, the ALTAR BOYZ bring the funk, lift the soul and spread a message about the power of faith, friendship and brotherhood.

The cast for ALTAR BOYZ includes Micah Stinson as Matthew, Caleb Meadows as Mark, E. Kirby, Jr. as Luke, Jaye Christopher as Juan, and Dane Reisenbigler as Abraham.

This production of ALTAR BOYZ is directed by E. Kirby, Jr. The associate choreographer is Vashonda Sherra recreating Christopher Gattelli's original choreography.

Conceived by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport, with a book by Kevin Del Aguila and music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker, ALTAR BOYZ first premiered in 2004 at the New York Musical Theatre Festival. In the spring of 2005, it transferred to Off-Broadway's New World Stages, where it is still running. ALTAR BOYZ won the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical and was nominated for seven Drama Desk Awards, including Best Music, Best Lyrics, Best Book, and Best Musical.
