This Canadian musical follows the journey of six Canadian Infantrymen from pre-war training to D-Day with a mixture of side-splitting comedy and heart-wrenching tragedy. Playwright Peter Colley conducted numerous interviews with veterans, factory workers, housewives and war brides in order to bring the Canadian perspective of WWII to this production; soldiers struggling through Europe, holding high the torch of democracy contrasted against feelings, when not in battle, of having the time of their lives—drinking, carousing, singing highly indecent songs and chasing women.
The show features dance styles and popular music from the 1930’s and 1940’s, like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, In The Mood, Pack Up Your Troubles, and I’ll Be Seeing You.
This full scale theatrical production brings history alive.
Closes Remembrance Day.
