Salesman in China makes its world premiere at the Stratford Festival, exploring the cultural exchange surrounding the 1983 Mandarin production of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman in Beijing. Directed by Jovanni Sy, the play features a diverse cast, including Tom McCamus as Arthur Miller and Adrian Pang as Ying Ruocheng, whose diaries inspired the narrative. The production is notable for its bilingual presentation in English and Mandarin, equipped with surtitles for both languages, fostering a unique theatrical experience.
