Sakura is a world premiere adaptation of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, set in 21st-century Quebec, and penned by Montreal playwright Harry Standjofski. The production features a talented cast including Deena Aziz, Ravyn R. Bekh, Stefanie Buxton, and music by Torquil Campbell, frontman of the band Stars. This thought-provoking play weaves humor with social critique as it delves into themes of family dynamics and relationships. The show runs from September 17 to October 6, 2024, at the Centaur Theatre.
