The always-impressive Karen Gomyo brings finesse to Mozarts sweet and singing Violin Concerto No. 3. And acclaimed conductor Eun Sun Kim makes her TSO dbut leading the Orchestra in Rachmaninoffs rapturous Symphony No. 2, which unfurls a never-ending cascade of characteristically lush and opulent melodies, each one bound to speak directly to the heart. A short chamber work by Spotlight Artist Samy Moussa and the overture to Mozarts comic opera The Marriage of Figaro open the program.
