Set forty years before the events of Beckett’s seminal play and inspired by this significant work, LET’S GO! follows the journey of Gogo and Didi: two aspiring and struggling Vaudeville performers in 1913. They receive a call to action from an unknown source, leading them to question the world as young people figuring out their path, and changing the course of their lives forever.
The cast features such seasoned, indie, and emerging artists as Brian Haight (7 Stories, Hart House Theatre), Tony Ofori (The Model Apartment, Harold Green Jewish Theatre), and Heather Marie Annis from the Dora and Canadian Comedy Award-winning clown duo Morro and Jasp (Morro and Jasp in Stupefaction; Bright Lights, Theatre Brouhaha). They are led by the creative team of two-time Dora-nominated Director Mark Cassidy (Threshold Theatre, Puppetmongers, Young People’s Theatre), Chalmers Award-winning and Dora-nominated playwright Robert Fothergill (Detaining Mr. Trotsky, Canadian Stage; Public Lies, Tarragon; The Dershowitz Protocol, Summerworks/Theater Bonn; Borderline, Summerworks and CBC Radio), Dora-nominated Lighting Designer Elizabeth Asselstine (Stratford, Shaw, Canadian Opera Company, Canadian Stage), up-and-coming Stage Designer Chelsea Driver (Theatre @ York, Banff Centre), Stage Manager Ana-Marija Stojic (Buddies in Bad Times, Mammalian Diving Reflex), and Producer Sarah Thorpe (Soup Can Theatre; Behold, the Barfly!, Spoon Vs. Hammer).
