"You can't go home again", said Thomas Wolfe. Was he right? Teri is about to find out. Rosemary Doyle plays Teri, a jazz singer who ran away at a young age to follow her dreams, and is now about to face Marge, the aging mother she hasn't seen in 17 years, and Mike, the two-year old son she left behind. A chance meeting with her now grown son has brought her back 'home'. Mike dreams of a happy reunion and a chance to fulfill his own dreams. Teri dreads the moment she walks back in that door. Actor/musician Jeanette Dagger plays Marge, while 19-year old Alexzander Mclarry will be seen as Mike, trying to navigate the stormy waters between the grandmother who brought him up and the mother he doesn't remember. Director is Robin Haggerty, writeris Carol Libman is an award winning and produced playwright, one of the founders of Montreal's Playwrights' Workshop, transplanted to the Toronto theatre scene. Performances are May 8 - 12 at 8 pm. May 10, 12 and 13 at 2 p.m. Interesting sidelight: the final performance takes place on Mothers' Day!
