On Family Day, Monday February 15, Young People's Theatre will be presenting a special performance of Mistatim by Red Sky Performance. This moving story of reconciliation and friendship from Governor General Award-winning playwright Erin Shields will be presented on the Mainstage from February 9 to 19, 2016. There will be a 2:30pm performance on Family Day and your show ticket comes with lots of FREE activities the whole family can enjoy, including a scavenger hunt, crafts, and a unique Meet the Theatre event!

Mistatim - the Cree word for horse - is about the taming of a wild horse and the forging of the truest of friendships. It is an intercultural story that combines dance, theatre, mask and music into one unforgettable experience. The Globe and Mail calls Mistatim"audacious, astonishing... magnificent in the scope of its imagination, mysterious in its beauty."

FAMILY DAY ACTIVITIES - Free with the purchase of tickets for the 2:30pm performance of Mistatim:

· 11am-12pm or 12pm-1pm: *Meet the Theatre - Families can enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour and the opportunity to visit the Mainstage to explore some of the technical elements that go into creating a show including sound, lights, costumes, set pieces and props. This event provides an introduction to YPT and is especially well-suited to first-time theatre-goers.

· 1pm - 2:15pm: Scavenger Hunt - Kids can search the building for clues and submit entries for a chance to win tickets to a future YPT production.

· 1pm - 2:15pm: Make Your Own Button - Kids can create a personalized button or make one of YPT's button templates their own.

*Please note that space is limited for Meet the Theatre. Interested individuals are required to RSVP in advance via email at ladamson@youngpeoplestheatre.ca to secure space.
