On Family Day, Monday, February 19, Young People's Theatre (YPT) will be a hive of activity from top to bottom floors, with a performance of the children's classic The Secret Garden, two performances of the award-winning show for babies, One Thing Leads to Another - PLUS Family Workshops, FREE tours and drop-in activities! Here's the rundown:
A Collective Collaboration by Maja Ardal, Audrey Dwyer, Mary Francis Moore and Julia Tribe
Developed from the original concept, research and theme by Maja Ardal; Directed by Mary Francis Moore. Observe your littlest play-goer experiencing everyday objects as they transform into fabulous, theatrical phenomena. Tickets: $5-$20 per person.Family Workshop participants will learn about the story of The Secret Garden and work together to explore the power of play and imagination! As with all of our Family Workshops, parents and caregivers are invited to play and create alongside the younger participants. Fee: $5 per person; pre-registration required as space is limited.
Families can join in a craft activity connected to The Secret Garden; enjoy behind-the-scenes tours of the prop, set and carpentry workshops; and participate in a scavenger hunt! FREE of charge with ticket purchase.
