Wavestage Theatre Company enters its 22nd Season with a limited engagement of RAGTIME THE MUSICAL at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts this summer! The production will run from July 14-17 with a talented cast of 58 performers.

Voted by Time Magazine as among the Top 100 Best Novels of the last century, this sweeping musical portrait of early 20th Century America tells the powerful tale of a white, upper-middle class family, and African-American couple, and an Eastern European immigrant escaping to America with his daughter, as they all confront the timeless contradictions of wealth, poverty, freedom, prejudice, hope and despair in pursuit of the American Dream.

Unfolding through the fiery rhythms of Harlem and Tin Pan Alley, and the vibrant klezmer of the Lower East Side, this vivid and unforgettable Tony Award-winning score bursts onto the stage "on the wheels of a dream" in what will be the largest and most epic production ever staged at Wavestage Theatre Company.

Wavestage's RAGTIME will star Korin Thomas-Smith as Coalhouse Walker Jr. and Keena Eloise as Sarah. The role of Mother will be portrayed by Lauren Lazar. Manuele Mizzi will play the Eastern European immigrant Tateh, with Sean Catheroy starring as Father and Klint Uzuni as Younger Brother. Toronto's Louisa Burgess Corbett will take the stage as Emma Goldman.

The cast will also feature the seasoned talents of Hayley Pickess (Evelyn Nesbit), Lucas Kalechstein (Little Boy), Ben Jensen-Reid (Harry Houdini), Matt Butler (Willie Conklin), Robin Bromley (Henry Ford), Hannah Billo (Little Girl), Rachel Marshall (Little Girl), Berlayne Smith (Sarah's Friend), John Simpson (Grandfather), Joseph Godbout (J.P. Morgan), and Derek Lewinson (Booker T. Washington). This production will feature choreography by Caileigh Kyle.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $24 for students and senior. RAGTIME will be seen at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts from July 14-17, 2016. Tickets may be purchased online at www.wavestagetheatre.com/ragtime , in person at the Box Office or by calling 905-787-8811.
