Nathaniel Bacon accepts his award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical in the video!

Canadian actor Nathaniel Bacon was born in Lindsay, Ontario and raised in the rural countryside. After completing high school, he attended both the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree(specializing in Theatre and Drama Studies) and a diploma in Acting.

After finishing his education, Bacon began to forge a career in acting(and on occasion, modeling), doing a number of plays, fashion shows and commercials. He worked as a principal actor with Gemini/Genie winning director John Greyson on the short "Rex Vs. Singh" which won the National Film Board's award for "Best Canadian Film or Video" at the 2009 Reel Asian International Film Festival and the "Colin Campbell Award for Best Canadian Short" at the 2010 Inside Out Festival. He took part in the first ever "America's Next Top Model Live", walking the runway for renowned UK designer Joey Bevan and was featured in the 2012 "Dare To Wear Love" a charity fashion show, organized by Jim Searle and Chris Tyrell of Hoax Couture, featuring Canadian celebrities. He was also a featured model in a print campaign for "Jean Machine".

Bacon landed a principal role in the TV series pilot "Mind's Eye" for Berkshire Axis Media(which was not picked up to air), before guest starring on several shows for the Discovery Channel and the History channel.

In 2012, he reached a much wider audience with guest spots on "The L.A Complex" for the CW network and "Transporter: The Series" for HBO.

In August of 2012, he took to the stage and received rave reviews for playing the lead in the first ever production of Sky Gilbert's "St. Francis of Millbrook" at 4th Line Theatre in Ontario, Canada. He followed this with more stage work, appearing in the Pulitzer Prize/Tony Award nominated play "Bent" at Hart House Theatre in Toronto, playing Sherlock Holmes in Alumnae Theatre's debut production of "Sherlock and Watson: Behind Closed Doors" and workshopping an original play with director Alistair Newton at Tarragon Theatre.

Bacon returned to TV this summer on BBC America's "Copper" and will make his feature film debut in the upcoming sci-fi/horror movie, "Debug" from Copperheart Entertainment.
