With a cast of 13 led by some of the biggest names in the Toronto musical theatre scene, The Giant's Garden is sure to have a big impact on this year's Toronto Fringe Festival. The show features music by Dora and Canadian Comedy Award nominee Scott White (Top Gun! The Musical, Sleepless) who also scored the Broadway World Toronto Award winning show Bosco & Jones, and a stellar cast led by Dora Award winning performer Paula Wolfson (Mrs. Potts in Beauty & The Beast, Les Mis, Shaking The Foundations), stage veteran Mark Terene (Pumbaa in the Canadian cast of The Lion King and Cogsworth in Beauty & The Beast) and Michael MacLennan as the Giant (Nine, Oklahoma, Man Of La Mancha).

The Giant's Garden is an all ages musical inspired by Oscar Wilde's The Selfish Giant.
Deep in The Deep Dark Forest, hidden beyond The Stream of Sorrows and Sinking Spirits
lies The Giant's Garden - a place forbidden to outsiders: But when Giant goes away, the
children sneak in to play, and for seven years their idyllic world has been undisturbed ... until
today. Today the Giant is coming home. Today, a young boy will risk his life and test his
courage. And today a battle will take place which could lead to a world without warmth.
In addition to Paula Wolfson, Mark Terene and Michael MacLennan, the cast features
Jody Osmond (Mamma Mia) Dale Miller (Les Mis, Cats, Forever Plaid), Laura Caswell
(Buddy ... The Buddy Holly Story), and Lucas Meeuse (West Side Story). The ensemble is
made up of recent theatre school graduates including Alison Dawn Campbell, Linnea
Currie-Roberts, Kaitland Gray, Lauren Maykut, Tara Lisowski, and Tyler Whitaker.
The Giant's Garden was written by Scott White (book, music & lyrics) & Peter Fenton
(book). Scott White will direct with choreography by Laura Caswell. The design consultant
is Lindsay Anne Black and the show will be stage managed by Debbie Read.
The Giant's Garden is a large scale show with a big heart for a small ticket price aimed at a
full family audience. Adults will enjoy the underlying themes and vaudeville humour, and
children of all ages will enjoy this fast paced story filled with music and laughter. In the
words of theatre critic Ashley Goodfellow from the Orangeville Banner, "This production is
recommended for anyone who wants to find their inner store of mirthful glee and for those
who just love a good fantastical family adventure."
