Toronto Fashion Week, Canada's leading fashion, art, music and culture event, today announced another exciting new partnership. Fashion Talks - a new podcast produced in partnership with CAFA that observes the world through the lens of fashion, will partner with Toronto Fashion Week from Mon., Feb. 5 to Wed., Feb. 7, 2018.
In front of a live audience, Toronto Fashion Week and Fashion Talks will invite some of the most recognizable faces in fashion, beauty and photography to share their stories in an intimate studio setting. Hosted by Donna Bishop - an accomplished entrepreneur and Director of Programming for CAFA, guests will reveal insights, observations and historical moments on how fashion helps to shape the world in which we live in and how our world shapes fashion and the clothing we wear.
"This partnership with Fashion Talks will allow us to engage with our audience in a new and exciting way beyond the runway," says Carolyn Quinn, Executive Director, Toronto Fashion Week. "The Fashion Talks guests are leaders in their respective industries with fascinating insight into the broad world of fashion - from pop culture to history to socioeconomic changes in the way we shop. Their discussions will provide a deeper context which Toronto Fashion Week attendees can bring with them to the shows throughout the event."
"Recording episodes of Fashion Talks in front of a live audience during Toronto Fashion Week is a fantastic way to continue to shine a spotlight on the relevance of fashion and bring excitement in addition to the runway shows," says Donna Bishop, creator and host of Fashion Talks. "With topics that relate to film, politics and more, Fashion Talks strives to connect cultural dots to illustrate how fashion speaks volumes about society and our values. Having these discussions at Toronto Fashion Week will make them even more powerful."
