Dean is a young ex-sniper, just back from Afghanistan, struggling to find work. His family is disintegrating before his eyes; his wife is ready to divorce him a second time, yet players on both ends of the political spectrum find Dean's special talents oddly appealing. George F. Theatre Aquarius will bring the work of legendary Canadian playwright and screenwriter George F. Walker to the mainstage of the Dofasco Centre for the Arts for the very first time, in this production directed by Walker himself. Dead Metaphor is produced in co-operation with Ken Gass' Canadian Rep Theatre, and appeared last spring at the Panasonic Theatre in Toronto, as a part of the "Off-Mirvish" season.
Dead Metaphor is directed by George F Walker with Associate Director Jennifer Brewin. The production stars Wes Berger, Layne Coleman, Catherine Fitch, Sarah McVie, Dana Puddicombe and Paul Rainville The design team is comprised of Shawn Kerwin (Sets and Costumes) and Rebecca Picherack (Lights) and Robin Johnston (Sound).
Dead Metaphor will run until from tonight, March 11-28, 2015. There will be a Pay What You Can preview performance on March 10, made possible by Sponsor Sun Life Financial. Opening Night is March 13, 2015 at 8pm.
