The Second City Toronto is proud to announce an exciting new Mainstage cast for the 78th Mainstage Revue, opening Tuesday, August 30, 2016. For the next show Ann Pornel (The Flirty Boys, Baroness Von Sketch Show), Brandon Hackett (This Hour Has 22 Minutes, The Sketchersons), Lindsay Mullan (Loose Moose Theatre Company, Bad Dog) and Roger Bainbridge (Tony Ho, Get Some) will join returning Mainstage cast members Becky Johnson (since Click Bait & Switch) and Kyle Dooley (since How to Kill a Comedian). Prolific writer, actress and Second City Mainstage alumna Carly Heffernan (The Second City Guide to the Symphony) will direct the 78th Mainstage Revue. She was recently named Best Actress in a Musical by the Toronto Theatre Critics Awards for her role in One Night Only: The Greatest Musical Never Written.
Beginning June 13, The Second City Touring Company (TourCo) will feature Sharjil Rasool (DiverCity, Odd Squad), Aimee Ambroziak (Superdude and Doctor Rude), Colin Munch (Bad Dog, Uncalled For) and Allana Reoch (Panacea!, The Sketchersons) with returning ensemble members Nadine Djoury (Newborn Moms, The Naughty Listers) and Devon Hyland (Get Sick Die Trying, Hooking Up with The Second City). The Second City TourCo, which performs numerous shows across Canada year-round, and The Best of The Second City on the MainStage in Toronto, will be directed by The Second City Mainstage alumna Leslie Seiler (0% Down, 100% Screwed), with musical director Jordan Armstrong (2016 Dora Mavor Moore Award nominee) and stage manager Nat Moore.
The title of the 78th Mainstage Revue will be announced this Summer. In addition to the cast, the company includes assistant to the director Nigel Downer, with musical director Lee Cohen and stage manager Meg Maguire.
