The Canadian Stage Company is pleased to announce the second year of its directors' initiative, opening its doors to dynamic Canadian directors with a vision for the 28th annual Canadian Stage TD Dream in High Park. Matthew Jocelyn, Artistic & General Director is pleased to invite concepts and ideas from professional directors for the 2010 Dream. Deadline for submissions is November 16, 2009.
This initiative is part of the Company's ongoing strategy to provide vital opportunities for directors to evolve their professional careers toward larger stages. The Dream has a long history of providing training and development opportunities for actors, designers and directors. The Dream runs over the course of the summer in the heart of High Park, and attracts over 20,000 attendees annually, including over 5,000 children under the age of 14. The Dream plays a key role in expanding the theatre-going public in the city by remaining an accessible annual theatre event through pay-what-you-can admission to all of its performances, courtesy of the generosity of the TD Bank Financial Group. Productions must run without an intermission, be under two hours in duration, and be appropriate for families.
Proposals must be limited to one single-sided page, and include:
1. Which of Wm. Shakespeare's plays listed below would you direct for the 2010 TD Dream in High Park:

2. Your vision for the production
3. Possible members of the collaborative artistic team
4. Director and collaborator biographies, and director's contact information
