The 9th Annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival (TOsketchfest) has added to the stellar 2014 festival line up with Sh**ting Rainbows by one of Canada's top comedians, Gavin Crawford, on Monday, March 10 at Randolph Theatre. Sh**ting Rainbows features many new characters and impressions, including Gavin's astounding one-man Downton Abbey, Heterosexual spokesman Hugh Jackman, a special message from our premier Kathleen Wynne, Rufus Wainwright's ode to Luminato, Cole Porter's grindr, Future Rob Ford, and much more!
TOsketchfest will also present a free panel on Sunday, March 9 at 4pm at The LOT, focusing on the lasting impact that popular TV series Slings and Arrows has had on the comedy and theatre community with show creators Bob Martin, Mark McKinney, Susan Coyne and moderated by frequent guest star Don McKellar. The Slings and Arrows panel has limited seating and is open to the public and festival participants.
TOsketchfest 2014 will host over 40 troupes from across North America, March 6-16, 2014, including previously announced programming such as a live staged reading of Kids In The Hall: Brain Candy, the Toronto debut of CBC Radio's hit sketch comedy show The Irrelevant Show, Canadian Comedy Award winners Falcon Powder, TOsketchfest Best of the Fest award winners Last Call Cleveland, Winnipeg's hometown heroes Hot Thespian Action, Fringe favourites Peter N' Chris and multi-disciplinarians National Theatre Of The World.
The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is Toronto's comedy festival, highlighting the best live, scripted comedy in North America.
