Thanks to the phenomenal success of West Side Story and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, the Stratford Shakespeare Festival is extending the runs of both shows until November 8.
Five performances of West Side Story have been added to the schedule: Tuesday, November 3 at 2 p.m.; Thursday, November 5 at 8 p.m.; Friday, November 6 at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 7 at 2 p.m.; and Sunday, November 8 at 2 p.m.
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will have three additional performances: Wednesday, November 4 at 2 p.m.; Thursday, November 5 at 2 p.m.; and Saturday, November 7 at 8 p.m.
Tickets for these additional performances go on sale to members of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival on Saturday, August 29. American Express® Cardmembers have advance ticket access via Front Of The Line® beginning Wednesday, September 2. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday, September 5.
Seán Cullen recently was announced as the replacement to play the role of Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, after Bruce Dow suffered injuries that forced him to withdraw from the season. Mr. Cullen will be stepping into the role in early September, and fans will now have a few extra dates to catch his performance.
