Wasteland hits the stage at Toronto's Comedy Vatican on November 9th, 16th and 17th at 10:30pm - right after The Second City mainstage show, Come What Mayhem, whose graffitied set offers the perfect setting for Sex T-Rex's post-apocalyptic romp.
Wasteland takes place in a world where survival is too much to hope for and warlords, mutants and cannibals are the only ones who sleep at night, no sane person could hope to find happiness. Thankfully, Ernest is far from sane. A talking dog by his side and a song in his heart, he'll face a road-trip of trials to find a touch of grace in civilization's irradiated ruins. Sex T-Rex has been making comedy for 8 years. From humble beginnings as an improv troupe, they began producing scripted plays in 2011. Since then, they have earned scores of five-star reviews and several awards on the Canadian Fringe circuit. Sex T-Rex are artists in residence at Toronto's Bad Dog Comedy Theatre, and were recently named among five finalists to be nominated for the 2016 Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Live Ensemble (winners to be announced on November 6, 2016.)
