Fiddler on the Roof is an affectionately humorous portrait of life in a Jewish village in Tsarist Russia that centres on Tevye, a milkman-philosopher who finds his values challenged by his daughters' insistence on following their hearts rather than the dictates of tradition. Meanwhile, more sinister changes are on the horizon - ones that threaten the community's very existence.
In this sneak peak, we witness the "Bottle Dance", one of the most famous and cherished accomplishments of Jerome Robbins, the original Director/Choreographer.
This production is Directed/Choreographed by Donna Feore. Fiddler on the Roof has a book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Scott Wentworth stars in this production as Tevye.
