War Horse is a worldwide phenomenon, with productions currently running in London, New York, Toronto and a US Tour in the works. The Toronto production (featuring an all-Canadian cast courtesy of Mirvish productions) opened in February to rave reviews and continues to delight audiences each night at
The Princess of Wales Theatre.
The 'stars' of
War Horse, Joey and Topthorn, took to the streets of Toronto today to entertain and surprise fans, onlookers and children. Starting at
The Princess of Wales, they galloped down King Street as diners, commuters and families lined the streets in awe of the magistical puppets. They got comfortable in David Pecaut Square, where they took photographs with some of the children who were visiting
The Farmer's market before heading off to the CBC studio and the Royal Ontario Museum. BWW was thrilled to be on hand to watch the excitement on everyone's face, children and adults alike, as these beautiful horses came to life in front of their eyes.
