BroadwayWorld has a sneak peak at rehearsals for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's Young People Concert titled "Once Upon a Time," where fairytales will spring to life through music and dance.
Introduce the young person in your life to the excitement and wonder of live orchestral music. You'll get a chance to try hand-jiving, and a few lucky kids will be invited on stage for a broom and rag boogie! The program includes music from Aaron Copland, Igor Stravinsky, Maurice Ravel, Sergie Prokofiev, Felix Mendelssohn and Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It will be conducted by Rob Kapilow.
The next concerts are this Saturday, January 18th, at 1:30 and 3:30 at Roy Thompson Hall. Arrive a half-hour early for special pre-concert performances in the lobby by a storyteller from the Toronto Public Library.
Tickets start at $20 and are available at TSO.ca.
