Tarragon Theatre presents the world premiere of THE TROUBLE WITH MR. ADAMS by acclaimed actor and playwright Gord Rand. Directed by Lisa Peterson (Shaw Festival's The Philanderer with Rand in the title role), this revealing comic tragedy is currently in previews and opens tomorrow, October 28, running through November 29 in Tarragon's Extraspace. The dirty tip of cupid's arrow pierces high-school coach Mr. Adams when he falls for his too-young volleyball star - a love that threatens to destroy his life, family, and career. Tarragon Playwright-in-Residence Gord Rand exposes the male mid-life crisis in all its awkward and ruinous glory and stars an extremely talented quartet of actors: Philippa Domville, Chris Earle, Allegra Fulton and Sydney Owchar.
THE TROUBLE WITH MR. ADAMS, written by Gord Rand and directed by Lisa Peterson, stars Philippa Domville, Chris Earle, Allegra Fulton and Sydney Owchar, and features set and lighting design by Kimberly Purtell, costume design by Charlotte Dean, and sound design and original music by Todd Charlton.
Performances play Tarragon Theatre's Extraspace, 30 Bridgman Avenue, Toronto, M5R 1X3, Tuesday-Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 2:30pm; select Saturdays October 31, November 7, 14 at 2:30pm.
