War Horse is based on the First World War novel by Michael Morpurgo and follows a young man's quest to find his beloved horse, which has been sold to the cavalry. Already a hit on London's West End and in New York City, Toronto audiences are in for a real treat when the show premieres next winter.
On Monday September 26th Mirvish Productions held a ticket giveaway at The Princess of Wales Theatre where the first 100 people in line received a free ticket to the show and a War Horse CD. Eager fans lined up as early as 2am the night before for a chance to getting to see the show, as well as meet some of Toronto Police Services' gorgeous horses (one of whom was aptly named Honest Ed). BWW was of course on hand to bring you coverage of this exciting event, and share with you photos of the eager ticket winners and (of course) the horses.
