London's smash-hit The Railway Children gets its North American debut here in Toronto this Sunday, May 8th. Celebrate Mother's Day with Mirvish Productions and The Railway Children, the spectacular adaptation of Edith Nesbit's classic novel.
The show features an actual steam train named "Vicky" who journeyed all the way from the UK to Toronto to be a part of this production. Also featuring an all-star Canadian cast and a brand new theatre built specifically for this production, The Railway Children is shaping up to be a great summer hit!
The story centers around three children who live by the railway tracks, reduced to poverty after their father is unjustly imprisoned. The Toronto Star reviewed the UK production and proclained The Railway Children to be "one of the most acclaimed shows to hit London in years!" and now the theatre is built, the stage is set and Vicky is ready to go. BWW is thrilled to bring you photos from the Canadian cast, as well as photos of Vicky herself.
