The world-renowned Russian ballet company Bolshoi Ballet returned to Toronto last week for the first time in 33 years to perform the classic Swan Lake. It has been 135 years since the show had its world premiere, and it appears to be as gorgeous and timeless as ever before.
The Bolshoi Ballet was founded in 1776 and is one of the world's oldest ballet companies, and is known around the world for its bold style that combines classical ballet with expressive and modern elements to create a feast for the senses. BWW was on hand at The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts to capture photographs of the production, and we are thrilled to share them with our readers. The Bolshoi Ballet heads off to Ottawa next, where they will perform Don Quixote later this month.
