New Canadian Production of LES MISERABLES Holds Children's Open Singing Call, 4/14

Children's auditions for the roles of Gavroche and Little Cosette in the upcoming new Canadian production of Cameron Mackintosh's production of Boublil & Schönberg's masterpiece LES MISERABLES will take place on Sunday April 14 at the Estonian House.

For the role of Gavroche, boys must be 7 - 11 years of age, and no taller than 4'7" and should be prepared to sing 16 bars of a feisty musical song, "Little People" or another song sung by Gavroche from LES MISERABLES.

For the roles of Little Cosette/Young Eponine, girls must be 7 - 11 years of age and no taller than 4'5" and should be prepared to sing 16 bars of a ballad or "Castle on a Cloud" from LES MISERABLES.

Registration for auditions will begin at 9:30am and end at 12:30pm. The Estonian House is located at 958 Broadview Avenue. Auditions will continue throughout the day until everyone is seen. A piano accompanist will be provided. Children are asked to bring their own sheet music, photo and resume.

This new production of LES MISERABLES will premiere in Canada in October 2013 as part of the 2013-2014 Mirvish Subscription Season.

Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, LES MISERABLES is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of LES MISERABLES includes the classic songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Stars," "Bring Him Home," "Do You Hear the People Sing?," "One Day More," "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," "Master of the House" and many more.

LES MISERABLES will premiere in Canada in October 2013 and is the first show in the 2013-2014 Mirvish Subscription Season.
