LOVE, LOSS Extends Thru 10/2 in Toronto

Producers Michael Rubinoff and Daryl Roth are proud to announce that, after weeks of packed houses and heaps of critical and popular praise, the Toronto production of the award-winning New York smash hit Love, Loss, and What I Wore has been extended by popular demand, and will continue at the Panasonic Theatre with a brand new all-star cast, from September 10 - October 2. They also announced that CTV "FashionTelevision" host Jeanne Beker, Barbara Budd (a Stratford actor prior to her long stint as co-host of CBC Radio's "As It Happens") and Gemini, Genie and Dora Award-winning Sheila McCarthy ("Little Mosque," "Emily of New Moon") will star in the September cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, along with two other cast members to be announced.

Written by sisters Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, Love, Loss, and What I Wore is an intimate collection of stories covering some of life's most poignant moments and their corresponding wardrobe. Directed by Karen Carpenter, the evening of vignettes, which is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman as well as personal reminiscences from the Ephrons and their friends, features a rotating cast of five who share tales to which every woman can relate.

The current cast - includes Paula Brancati, AndRea Martin, SharRon Matthews, Louise Pitre and Mary Walsh - perform to August 7. The August cast includes Lauren Collins ("Degrassi: The Next Generation"), 5-time Gemini Award winner Wendy Crewson (Away From Her, "24"), Dora Award winner Cynthia Dale (Stratford Festival leading lady for 10 seasons, "Street Legal"), Gemini Award winner Linda Kash ("Robson Arms") and Genie Award winner Margot Kidder (Superman series) perform August 10 - September 4.

Love, Loss, and What I Wore opened Off-Broadway at The Westside Theatre on October 1, 2009 to rave reviews and continues to play to sold-out houses. New York casts have included Rosie O'Donnell, Kristin Chenoweth, Jane Lynch, Samantha Bee, Tyne Daly and others. A Los Angeles company opened at the Geffen Playhouse on May 13, 2010; also earning raves, and an extension. The Toronto production opened on July 21, 2010, winning both popular and critical acclaim.
