The producers of Spring Awakening announced today that Saskatoon native and Toronto resident Kyle Riabko will return to Spring Awakening on April 14. Riabko plays the role of Melchior Gabor in the touring production of this eight-time Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical, which is playing Toronto's Canon Theatre through April 19. After leaving Toronto, the show will continue on its North American tour (for a complete list of tour cities, visit www.SpringAwakening.com). Riabko had taken a short leave of absence from the show to shoot a television pilot for ABC.
Riabko, 21, joined the touring cast after debuting as Melchior on Broadway in May 2008. In addition, he has released a full-length record on Columbia and opened with performers such as
John Mayer, Maroon 5, BB King and others. Riabko's debut album, "The Parkdale Sessions," is currently available. Prior to joining the
