Get ready to "Walk the Line" with the legendary Man in Black this summer with Johnny and June, a heartfelt tribute that takes audiences back to the golden age of country music. Playing for three weeks only, August 15th through September 1st at the Huron Country Playhouse, this hit-filled production is not to be missed!

"Johnny and June is an alluring theatrical experience that looks at the life and times of Johnny Cash, an incomparable artist who touched millions of people around the world. Adored by fans of all ages, audiences will be treated to incredible renditions of Cash's most popular songs," says Artistic Director, Alex Mustakas.

One of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, Johnny Cash has been characterized as an artist who lived a rebellious, challenging and complicated life. His story, like his music, was marked by a search for truth, inner peace, love and redemption. Johnny and June is a musical journey revealed through the lens of his loving wife, June Carter Cash.

Each of Johnny Cash's signature songs is reborn in this nostalgic production including the Grammy Award-winning duet "Jackson", along with "I Walk the Line", "Folsom Prison Blues," "Ring of Fire," "A Boy Named Sue," "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," "Peace In The Valley," "Orange Blossom Special," and many more.

The Huron Country Playhouse welcomes two accomplished performers in the iconic title roles of Johnny and June.

Taking to the stage as renowned Man in Black, Aaron Solomon gives an exceptional portrayal of Johnny Cash. As a singer, actor and multi-instrumentalist, Solomon has performed with numerous artists including Shania Twain, Jeff Healey, Big Sugar, Mac Wiseman, Jason McCoy, John Allan Cameron and George Hamilton IV. Cape Breton born, Solomon's passion for music took root at the age of two when he asked for his first fiddle.

A native of HamiltonOntario, Colleen Aynn makes her Huron Country Playhouse debut in this production as the inimitable June Carter Cash. Like Solomon, Aynn has been a musician since childhood and has become a celebrated international artist, performing across Canada and the United States, Europe and Brazil.

Johnny and June co-creators Chris McHarge and Colin Stewart take on the respective roles of Director and Music Director for this production.

"Audiences responded with great enthusiasm for McHarge and Stewart's Blue Suede Shoes: Memories of the King and this dynamic creative pair have done it again with Johnny and June. A well-crafted combination of song and story, theatregoers will undoubtedly fall in love with Johnny and June," says Mustakas.

Johnny Cash was an American singer-songwriter, actor and author who pushed boundaries. Known especially for his deep, distinctive bass-baritone voice and country music, he spanned into a variety of genres over his career including blues, folk, gospel, and rock and roll. This tremendous accomplishment led Cash to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1980, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2010.

A legend in her own right, June Carter Cash was an American singer, dancer, songwriter, actress, and author who began a prolific career at the young age of 10. In 1968, thirteen years after they first met backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Johnny Cash proposed to June Carter during a live performance in LondonOntario. They married on March 1, 1968 inFranklinKentucky.
