Back for a second year in a row at the Toronto International Fringe Theatre Festival, House of Rebels Theatre (HoRT) returns this July poised to put audiences in stitches with its second fully staged work The Resurrectionists.
Originally created to deliver radio plays to the podcasting generation, HoRT has returned back to where their love of story telling first began, the stage. Just in time for Canada's 150th birthday bash playwright Ross Hammond has unearthed some of Canada's darkest historical secrets to produce comedic gold!
Directed by Maite Jacobson (KATA-Theatre Parallax Toronto, AD- Taming of the Shrew- Canstage Shakespeare in High Park, AD- The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui - Red Light District) and starring Laura Harding (Mindy in the Dora award-winning production of Brantwood- Theatre Sheridan, Superintendent-Dancock's Dance, Katie O'Malley-The Hogtown Experience), Anthony Di Feo (KATA-Theatre Parallax Toronto, King John Redux- Pure Carbon Collective), Ross Hammond (Playwright & Director of Mooney on Theatre's 2016 Critics Pick-King of the Castle-House of Rebels, Improviser-Abra Cadaver), and direct from NYC Olivia Winston (The Mourner-Blood Manor NYC, Student-Ascension Syfy Productions).
