Female Stars to Share the Adventure Cruise to Alaska

Holland America Line and O, The Oprah Magazine's Share the Adventure Cruise is adding Pulitzer Prize-winning author Elizabeth Strout, comedian Rita Rudner and O, The Oprah Magazine books editor Leigh Haber to the list of visionaries and authorities who will be on board the July 15 sailing to Alaska. In addition to having the opportunity to enjoy performances by Rudner, guests aboard the ms Eurodam will also be able to join O's Onboard Book Club where Haber will lead the discussion as Strout shares the process and inspiration behind her latest novel, Anything Is Possible.

Holland America Line previously announced that Oprah Winfrey and O, The Oprah Magazine editors Gayle King, Lucy Kaylin and creative director Adam Glassman will be on board, along with SuperSoul 100 Members' Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter India.Arie, fitness evangelist Angela M. Davis, and author, activist and motivational speaker Glennon Doyle Melton.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Elizabeth Strout
Elizabeth Strout is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Olive Kitteridge, also nominated for the National Book Critic's Circle Award; the #1 New York Times bestseller My Name Is Lucy Barton, which was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize; The Burgess Boys, a New York Times bestseller; Abide With Me, a national bestseller and Book Sense pick; and Amy and Isabelle, which won the Chicago Tribune Heartland Prize and the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction.

Strout has been a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize in England. Her short stories have been published in a number of magazines, including O, The Oprah Magazine and The New Yorker.

Books Editor Leigh Haber
For the past five years, Haber has been books editor for O, The Oprah Magazine, and a coordinator of Oprah's Book Club. She began her career in book publishing as a news aide for the Washington Post's Book World. For years she was a publicity director for various publishing houses, and thereafter held senior editorial positions at Scribner, Hyperion, and Rodale. Over the years, she's worked with numerous authors, among them Alice Walker, Gloria Naylor, Steve Martin, Al Gore, Terry Gross, Lou Reed and others.

Award-Winning Comedian Rita Rudner
Rita Rudner is a multitalented star who began her career as a Broadway dancer in Follies and Mack & Mabel before branching out to stand-up comedy. Over the past three decades she has appeared in a variety of television shows including The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, as well as in a number of award-winning comedy specials and movies.

A house-filling favorite in Las Vegas since she opened as one of the hottest tickets in town in June 2000, Rudner is known for her epigrammatic one-liners. Over the course of a 14-year run and 2,000-plus shows, she has sold one-and-a-half-million tickets and become the longest-running solo comedy show in the history of Las Vegas. She has been named Las Vegas' Comedian of the Year nine years in a row and in 2006 received The Nevada Ballet's Woman of the Year Award.

Rudner's first solo HBO special, Rita Rudner's One Night Stand, was nominated for several awards, as was her eponymous English BBC television show that later appeared in the United States on A&E. In 2008 Rita Rudner: Live From Las Vegas was PBS's first-ever stand-up comedy special. In 2012 Rudner and her husband, Martin, wrote and performed The Rita Rudner Show for BBC radio in London. She also appeared in the Showtime comedy special Rita Rudner and Three Potential Ex-Husbands.
