Fall Drama School at Young People's Theatre Begins Soon

Now in its 48th year, the Drama School at Young People's Theatre (YPT) offers fun-filled and meaningful theatrical experiences. Classes are led by professional arts educators whose skills are always expanding through YPT's professional development sessions and their own professional experiences. The company introduces young people to the theatre and also helps them develop into positive, social beings. Their unique voices and creativity shape our world today and will steward it for the future.

The Drama School offers year-round programming for children and youth in JK through Grade 12. From weekly classes to full-day camps, students have the opportunity to develop theatre skills, gain confidence in their ability to express themselves, and explore the world around them through drama. Professional artist educators provide a thrilling environment full of theatrical innovation and creative development.

New students are welcome throughout the year! YPT's skilled faculty are adept and prepared to integrate students joining in the Winter and Spring, to ensure that the ensemble dynamic of each class is recreated with each new term. Students enrolled in all three terms not only make the most of the program's skill-based cumulative curriculum but receive a 10% discount!

Weekly drama classes are held over three nine-week terms. There are four locations where students can attend classes: Downtown Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, and Scarborough.
